United Methodist Women
The purpose of the UMW is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand the concept of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
UMW is organized to work for women, children, and youth missions.
Some of the local Kansas City missions that we support include Spofford House, a home for children; Della Lamb, a mission for needy families; and New House, a shelter for abused women.
UMW provides supportive Christian fellowship and fun.
We develop friendships and connections to other women in the church.
Our UMW unit has four Circles
