Worship and music is the heart of our life together here at Kearney First UMC. We believe that our weekly worship celebrations are primarily about connecting people to one another and to the living God. You'll find that, in each of our worship services, the music is deep and rich, God's word is central, the fellowship is warm, and Christ is our focus.
We have several musical groups that lead us in our shared ministry of worshipping and praising the Living God.
Sunrise Singers
This women's ensemble sings each week at the 8:15 a.m. Early Worship service and rehearses on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the church. All ladies are welcome to join.
Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir provides music each week for our 10:45 a.m. Classic Worship service and rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Praise Team
Our Praise Team leads our 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Praise Service each week and rehearses on Monday nights at 6:45 a.m. at the church. The team members include both High School students as well as adult participants. If you would like more information about the Praise Team, call the church office at 628-5560.
